Fallen From the Light
Session 40

Days past – 4

After a bit of discussion, the Order of The Dawn left to meet with the angel Sofiel. They walked up on a drove of followers compelled to stand in line to become fused with the Redwood tree of souls. This time around however the followers were not merely Elves, but also Ciatore and Oniglio. The group began to speak with the angel who expressed that resurrecting the angels, Raziel and Suriel, would make no difference in stopping the end of times. During this conversation, Douglass let it slip out that the party was in possession of some of the artifacts that she would need to create the Divinity Serum.

Sofiel demanded the objects and combat soon broke out. The party began by pulling out the green stone of power which Sofiel then smashed. This sealed all of Content Not Found: trog-b-sebane_ magical abilities and destroyed the stone. As combat pushed on, _Content Not Found: relph was slain and the party surrendered and gave the Angel all of the bones of Ferromosis.

Demoralized, the party headed back to Bend Point after camping in an abandon Elven settlement. Once at Bend point, the group decided the next best option for them was to adventure and dungeon crawl by following the Map made from the Linnorm’s heart. The largest location on the map was near Fireseed and so with a quick teleport, they were there.

The ferry man at the river explained that the area they were headed to was known for its magical giants. They paid the Ferryman well and continued south. After following the road for awhile, the party eventually came to a trade post and camped for the night. While there, they met Bardelby Meadows, a young man interested in starting a life on his own. He explained that he ran the trade post while his father hunted for furs and the such in the area. After staying the night, Sir Lane Stills generously bought 1000 gold worth of pelts from him and Douglass provided him with directions to his Grandfather’s shop so that he might become a successful merchant.

As the party got closer to the location that began seeing signs, each warning to turn back. The party pressed on to find a large castle made of wood and clay on the hill side and entered in. Once there, they were greeted by a man named Demetris Grant. He welcomed the adventurers and offered them drinks. Lane felt uncomfortable as Demetris gave off an evil Aura but headed in with the party who gave Demetris a line about investigating dragon activity in the area. Demetris gave them good drinks, did some drugs with Azel, and even talked about Sabriel’s glory to Lane. While giving the party a tour through his home, Douglas noticed that the house with haunted by spectral creatures despite Demetris speaking ill of necromancers. After finishing his tour and making jokes about taking the attractive party members to his room he asked, “What do you guys do for fun.” Lane responded “Kill evil creatures.” A bit taken back, Demtris asked “You just out right kill them ?” Without hesitation, Lane responded by decapitating him and killing the unarmed man in cold blood.

As Lane felt himself falling from the Angels graces, Demtris reverted to his true form… a red dragon. Lane immediately began drinking, something he’d never done before. Alandra, disturbed by this fact, channeled the Dragon’s soul and questioned him. She found the souls trapped in the walls were Demetris’s victims that he was attempting to help move on, so that he might repent for his sins. Meanwhile the rest of the order, minus Trog, began to pillage his home stating “How is this different then any other dragon horde we’ve raided”. Alandra then vowed to send him the the Dragon Burial Ground before taking his corpse, while the rest of the group speculated where the deed to Grant Mannor might be, as Douglass estimated the home to be worth upward of 200,000 gold.

Days Past – 5
After heading home, the party was rudely awakened by the sound of Lightfoot’s horn warning of an unknown coming up the road. Springing to action, the Order of The Dawn found it was Sir MacArnold and two of his other harvest guard.

MacArnold explained that his Harvest guard had been destroyed by a massive Gnomish army that spit fire and found like demons while patroling the countries southern borders. The group welcomed him and his two remaining Guard to stay and booked it for the gnomish lands. Once at the site the Leader of the Order of the Shield explained to Trog that they were possessed beings that were heading along the country side destroying the landscape and killing everything in their way. There were also rumors of a Boy that matched Quinndescription fighting the army.

With 50 other gnomish Cavaliers, the party confronted the army. After quite a bit of death and several members almost dieing, the armies general, A fallen angel, began attacking the party. Luckily however the party was able to overcome the monster with Alandra stealing it’s soul and forever sealing it away.

Days Past – 5

Shortened version
Azel was given a vision by the angel of the green to come north and meet with her. The party went to with her and found that many elves had received the call and most dropped everything to walk north. Many of these Elves had walked until a point of exhaustion, and even death.

Once at the location, The Angel of the Green was found forceful fuzing Elves into a large red wood. The party attempted to reason with the Angel but she explained this was the only way. She suggested that Slick and H Burnman had accidentally destroyed this and countless other worlds hundreds of times over. Sofiel then presented the Order with an option, She suggested that they help her in her mission to create divinity. The sap from the tree she was creating was 1 piece of a larger puzzle to create a magic capable of creating Gods. With this magic, the Angel intended to use it as an offering to Slick and Burnman thus binding them to the Laws of Divinity.

The party refused to be a part of this action.

Session 31

Days Past 3

The party began by discussing plans with the stone of power. After much talk it was decided that it would be in the orders best interest to hand the the Green stone of power over to Morgan Willows if he signed a Death Contract. The contract stated, amoung other things, that Morgan would be responsible for the stone. He would also be the only person allowed to study the stone itself and be the stone and was not allowed to reproduce the stone. Morgan agreed to these conditions and was off with the stone.

After this Sir Stills wondered the now icy Bend Point and found stewert Overseeing several public works projects, Bend point was once again doing well with a fresh new tavern and serval hard working individuals, he informed Lane that several prisoners were in the dungeon and that they needed judgement. Most of the of these men had commited minor infractions and it was Sir Stills judgement to have them send to deal with community service around the town. One of the men however had been a repeat offender, warned by The Ram his next offense would be death. Lane would leave him to the Ram.

While this was occuring, Trog was off wondering the town and looking for excitement. The knight only heard rumors of a plague, killing the kobold to the north. Lane met with Trog and showed him a flyer he’d found asking for help from adventurers in dealing with a snake problem. The offer was 2000 gold for evidence of the fate of an excavation team. The Reward was posted for Firewell by High Captain Mars.

Gathering the Knights, Alandra teleported the group as close to Firewell as she could and the group went forward meeting with HC Mars. The Guard captain showed them on their maps the location of the excavation site and warned of dangers. However he mentioned it should be no real issue for Knights of their reputation. With that the party was off.
That night while camping near the ruins, the party was attacked by Nagas. While the fight was relatively fast paced with Trog and Lane making short change of the beast, while Azel smashed the other in elemental form, Trog was easier charmed. They rested, returning to slumbers onlyto awaken to breakfast cook by Azel.

The Order moved onwards to the Crystal Dwarves ruins built into the side of a mountain cliff. Inside the smell of death was everywhere. Dwarven statues splattered in fresh blood lined the rooms walls. The party moved down a flight of stairs lined with the entails of the excavators. At the bottom the party was once again met in combat by a set of nagas, these however quickly charmed Sir Trog and who served them as a shield while they battered the party with fireballs. Trog was then used to mark and rush Douglass almost killing the Half-orc until the naga was eventually felled. The group was lead by a gorgan however before the beast could act, Alandra killed the monster with a frightening death spell that stopped the monsters heart. In the backroom, the party found a room full of stone statues aranged in a dramatic fashion, they seemed to tell a story with each statue being a different act.

The Order contact Morgan and retrieved the Green stone, using it to free the stone statues. They quickly turned to flesh with the stones power and were both thankful and confused. The party returned the stone to Morgan and then met with the Dwarves. They’d been imprisoned 300 years, everyone they knew was gone, their people extinct. It was then that they welcomed the dwarves to join them at bendpoint, before riding back to Firewell…

Mind Games
Session 30

Time Past – 14 days

The party left the ever forest, headed east along the salt water river. Along the way, the the party noticed some of the first wildlife they’d seen since being on the Mainland. While mostly fish, the party also noticed a great deal of small game, scattered throughout the woods.

After a few days of walking, the group exited the forest into a large opening. On the horizon, the party noticed a large farm house in the distanced that Rene and her sister insisted on going to. Once there, the sisters were able to locate resistance symbols. They indicated that the house was a safezone and that the basement was runed to prevent scrying. After setting up the party located the hidden exit and relaxed. After 3 hours of sleeping, the party was awakened by the sounds of demons outside. Panicking the order hid in the exit’s hallway and waited.

Looking out of the trap door the party learned that the demons had been setting up these safe houses as traps. They could also see that the demonic forces were being led by a tall robed figure. After a few moments of tension, the demonic forces summons 50+ imps to search the lands. Eventually the forces found the trap door, and the order was locked in combat. Immediately the robed man cast a spell, forcing the party into the throne room of Prime. It was there that the party found themselves staring down, Burnman, Platypus, Evil one and of course Sabriel.

Within the center of the room sat the Hell gate With Drake Flangard stuck in it’s center. With no hesitation, Platypus stepped forward drawing her weapons. “Round two ?” She called out as she dashed forward attacking the party with Sabriel at her side. Douglass attempted to escaped but could not open the door and in no time the party was locked in combat.
-Sabriel was thrown into the hellgate but a charge from Content Not Found: trog-b-sebane
-Alandra killed Platypus with a fear base spell
-Sabriel broke Free of the evil’s control
-Douglass launched Burnman into the hell gate
-The Other angels showed up locking themselves and The ultimate evil in Hell

Moments after the combat, Peter showed up, teleporting them out of the Hellgate explosion. Once there the group was met by a party with Wrieth, their friend and everyone they’d ever met congratulating them on their defeat of the evil! Something was off and a Blade mysteriously found itself thrust through Lane’s Chest. The party came to with this illusion broken to a combat on the plain they’d left. A man in rusted platemail pulled his blade from Sir Lane’s chest and teleported them off by grabbing a pink stone tightly.

The Man teleported them to the Resistance’s headquarters. From here explained that his name was Sir Lance and that he was one of the last leaders of the resistance. Lance seemed obsessive about gaining access to the genie Khalia and even got the Order the green stone of power in an instant just to get the genie’s name.

The Resistance!
Session 29

Time past 34 days + Unknown amount of time from the teleport.

The week at sea seemed to pass with ease as the party ventured out guided by Maelriel. The time was spent reflecting with Douglass tanning, and everyone else relaxing before the inevitable hell that was awaiting them. Around 4 hours out Mael informed the group that there were several options before them. They could land need the coast Floresdale, and cross much of the continent, this path however would take them incredibly close to Prime the hub of the Great evil. Alternatively they could continue around the great red cape to the south and land on the western coast near the Nox Swamp or more north near Fort West one of the largest sites of the plague. The party agreed that the undead hordes would be the best bet and set off to the western half of the mainland.

Once there they could see the 100s of undead surround the fortress, as well several Flesh golems the size of large houses. Keeping their distance, the Order moved out making camp only when needed. After around 4 days, the knights arrived at a powerful river that seemed to block their path. Douglass cast a Dim door to cross the river but was chastised by the rest of the party who were quick to remind the Orc of the Angels warning. Magic function on the mainland differently, for all magic is like a mass pool, maybe events are like throwing stones into the Manapool. They cause the energy to form waves the are at times greatly heightened or diminished. The angel had sited instances of teleportations that jolted the users forward several days. Thinking quickly, Content Not Found: trog-b-sebane tied a rope to his bison and ran across the river relying on the Bison’s new hovering hooves.

After another day of riding, Azel noticed strange markings near the camp site and morphed herself into a mouse to investigate. While scouting the scene, she noticed large bird like tracks and informed the sleep party members. Douglass through up a barrier while the others prepared. The creatures quickly revealed themselves are large vulture like demons with Blacked Angelic wings and long thin arms that stretched down to their taloned feet. Twelve in total surrounded the party, 4 red patterned, 4 blues, and 4 greens. on of the red stepped forward screech in a raspy voice " Your equipment…. Where’d you get it" The party responded with a lie stating they had found it in a castle. “Kill them” the Vroc commanded as he stepped backwards and began to dance. The party unleashed everything on the creatures only to find that most of them were illusions and then banished each of them one by one, but not before the group could finish their dance. When it ended, the destruction was immense and had clearly taken its toll on the group. Though there was little time to rest as the commotion of combat had drawn the attention of all the undead in the area.

The party then continued around day with no rest until could take no more and made camp after once again slaying the Armol. While Andra was on watch, the sounds of a forced march could be heard in the distance. Luckily thanks to Azel’s expert camp site, the party had not been detected. Once in range, Alandra’s familiar was able to describe the army. It consisted of 4 large red devils that seemed to be dripping an acid ooze. Each of them stood roughly 5’9 and were of a grotesquely slender frame. Behind them marched a massive fiend that stood 12 foot tall and was built like a tank with massive arms and shoulders. It reptilian head rested comfortably on its grey, wart-covered, torso that was lined in spikes. This demon was clearly the troops’ leader and drug behind him 8 humanoids who were shackled and looked half starved. Stopping parallel to the campsite the demonic leader spoken in Abyssal before reaching over and grabbing one of the girls. He began to violently beat her while yelling out in common
“Where is the resistance!” After a few moments of screaming the rest of the party awoke and were faced with a pressing moral choice. Should we save the girls or will we just die and doom the world? Douglass had Pop attempt to scout the scene but the Red Demons saw through his illusions and in one swift motion, the huge demon stuck Pop from the sky with an arcane spell almost killing the dragon.

The Demon then threw the girl down the crest that the road ran along and told her to go get the beast. While recovering the Dragon the Girl noticed the order in hiding but said nothing as he brought Pop up to the monster. “Ahhh I see the Resistance has been training magic users” He then began to interrogate the girls sister, but before any real torture could be done, Douglass responded with a fireball to the red acidic demons as Trog charged full force toward the large one, impaling him, and Alandra followed this up by Banishing him with a Phantasmal killer causing the monster to stare into the emblem of the order of the Dawn in absolute terror just before ashing.

Panicked, the other demons grabbed the remaining humans teleported off. The two girls then began screaming “We have to go!! they’re are going to be back”. In a moment of haste, Alandra teleported the whole party to the ever forest as it was the only location she could remember and they were off. They arrived in the center of the forest and were introduced to the two girls, the oldest Rene introduced herself and her sister Francesca. They explained that the resistance is really just several groups of Cells that leave subtle markers to indicate safe houses, food, and things of that nature. Their cell however was wiped out and they were enslaved. After securing the area, the party camped taking shifts, unaware of if the teleport had sped up or slowed down time.

In the Morning, Douglass solved the Everforest Trial and the party made their way north, to the tomb of Gyle While most of the Order was without knowledge of the legendary hero, Trog explained to the group that Gyle was the original hero to defeat the ultimate evil. Trog crossed the tombs sand pit with Douglass and Lane before knelling before Gyle’s still unaged body. After the three of them prayed, Trog looked around. After all it was this very location where his God was defeated along with the angel of the gold. While wondering, Trog stumbled upon the corpse of a follower of the Grey and a follower of the gold holding each other at behind the shrine with obvious signs of suicide. Trog prayed before the two as well before the three returned to the party and began to make plans….

Who is the Resistance?
Will Lane attempt to save them all?
Why was the Ram so passive the last battle?!?

All this and more nex time!
